What do you do after a "non-destructive" system restore?
I just did a nondestructive system restore on my gateway notebook, windows xp. I have the exact same amount of used space on my "c"drive as before, but i cant find any of my files, photos, music etc. What does one do to seamlessly (as possible) re-install all the programs, settings etc? Gateway gives no info on what do to AFTER the non-destructive system restore to try and get your computer back to normal.
A system restore only restores or repairs your OS, all other files will be lost, UNLESS you backed them up beforehand
As already suggested, try recuva - it's your only hope I'm afraid.
