best canon printers
Anyone know anything about Canon Printers?
Office printer at work has been "running colours" together, and printing colors seperatly (red/blue/black text, kinda looks like old 3D comic), making everything look blury. It seems to work fine when just printing b/w, but any little bit o color on the page throws the whole thing outa whack. Have had the tech in 2 times this week and it's not any better, any sugestions?
I guess my problems is solved for now, the tech came back in and made some adjustments. ty for your answers.
Um, is this an inkjet printer that uses only 1 colour cartridge? If so, one possibility is that the 3 colours within the cartridge have become mixed. This will screw up the colours. This problem won't affect black & white pictures because only the separate black ink cartridge is used for printing. You might be able to get rid of the problem by printing out some stuff. Otherwise, you'll need a new cartridge. (Never shake colour ink cartridges.)
Another possibility:
Did you install a new cartridge previously? When you replace a cartridge, you have to align the cartridges again. Read your manual or look in the online help to find out how to align the cartridges. You can also get the manuals from Canon's web site.
The last possibility that I can think of is that the printer needs to be cleaned. If the rubber paper rollers inside the printer are making the paper slip, then you'll have printing errors. The manual should tell you how to clean the inside of the printer, and you should try cleaning the ink cartridges to clear up any clogged nozzles.
If nothing works, then either the printer is shot, you have a software problem, or the colour cartridge is bad.
P.S.
If your printer is a laser printer, you'll probably have to take it to a shop.
